Hold your horses… in 2020

So we all know what an absolute Dumpster Fire 2020 was for everyone. Everything cancelled or best possible scenario, postponed, like the 2020 Kentucky Derby. The Derby is usually the first weekend in May, but it was postponed until September. My college friends and I had planned a socially distanced Zoom happy hour for May 2, so, of course, I showed up with a Mint Julep and a hat for the occasion. After the call was over, Greg and I returned to our favorite Pandemic Pasttime of darts. We have our dartboard on a stand that we can take outside when weather permits which also allowed us to have friends safely over for a match. I only got a few strange looks from neighbors.

Fast forward to September 5, 2020 and the race was on! Since the weather was nice, we decided to set up our outdoor TV setup, usually reserved for football viewing. I decided to update an old hat to continue the run. The theme this year was on the cheap and so 2020.

So 2020.

It was weird to Derby in September, but I do wonder if I would have continued my winning streak with this get up. Full disclosure? Stickers don’t really stick to this hat. I am still finding little white dots everywhere!
